Problem Statement
"Our goal is to decrease the infant death rate in understaffed and low-resource hospitals in Malawi by designing a medical system that monitors Body Temperature, Heart Rate, and Respiration Rate as well as an integrated UI/UX System to alert caretakers to infant needs. This system will allow caretakers to monitor their patients and empower them to provide care as efficiently and consistently as possible."
Prototypes were made from laser cut silicone sheets due to its bio-compatibility and ease of cleaning.
